Since the 90s Fortini Ortofrutticoli has structured its business activities according to ISO principles
with particular attention in maintaining the control of the production chain and all the warehouse processes in compliance with the main standards of the fruit and vegetable sector and customers specifications.

INNOVATION
With the aim of pursuing a continuous development also in agronomic terms of a minor crop such as celery, Fortini Ortofrutticoli dedicates portions of fields adjacent to the company headquarter to varieties trials and experimentation of innovative cultivation techniques.
Thanks to a continuous dialogue between costumers and producers, the productions have been adapted to the needs of consumers.

SUSTAINABILITY
Since several years the company is allocating processes by-products at an anaerobic digestion plant for the production of energy with alternative renewable methods. In this way the processes by-products constitute a new source of raw material for green energy production.
Fortini ortofrutticoli is also applying itself in the use of recycled plastic packaging and in offering packaging solutions that aim to reduce plastic use in general.
GREEN ENERGY USE
The company has always worked with the aim of savings
energy: today it is installed on company structures a 120 Kw photovoltaic system.
Part of the plant arises from a project carried out in partnership with the University of Bologna,
which include the use of innovative technologies
for storage and use of the green energy generated.
